- Scarina--the authoress and editrix of this site. I like scary movies and have dedicated my free time to cataloging horror--the good, the bad, and the ugly. Sometimes there are books too.
There's film criticism, literary criticism, and humor here. I can be highbrow but there's lots of pop culture too. And feminism.
I fervently love "Twin Peaks" and wish it were a real place so I could move there. I can't list my favorite scary movies because they change depending on my mood, the season, and how much coffee I've had.
I'm an artist looking for ways to blend creepy with cute. I try to channel my childhood nightmares, my love of horror, and my experiences with sleepy paralysis.

If given the choice between watching “Land of the Minotaur” and “Puma Man,” always choose “Puma Man.” That’s another terrible Donald Pleasence movie but at least it’s funny. Continue reading

Come for the review of the crappy movie, stay for the comic about the historical first meeting of Dracula and Hitler. Continue reading
“House of the Dead” (1978) isn’t THAT “House of the Dead.” It’s actually a fun, goofy anthology flick starring a guy who was in Playgirl and the doctor from “The Incredible Melting Man.” Continue reading
Do you want to see skin-eating? Well, you’d better not expect any from the movie “I Eat Your Skin.” You’ll just have to settle for Chicken Holiday. Continue reading
