In Memoriam

One year ago today (Technically, yesterday), I saw The Human Centipede, realized that none of my friends wanted to talk about scary movies so I started a blog to talk to anonymous people about my obsession. Happy first anniversary!

During this time, I’ve watched some really good movies, some really shitty movies, and movies that fall somewhere in between.
So, here’s my list of my ten favorite movies that I’ve watched in the past year.
1. 28 Days Later
2. Alice, Sweet Alice
3. Black Christmas (1974)
4. Carnival of Souls
5. Day of the Dead (1985)
6. House of the Devil
7. The Shining
8. The Silence of the Lambs
9. The Stepfather (1987)
10. Teeth
I’m shocked by how many of these movies are slashers because I’ve always been the “I’m not a slasher-movie kind of person”-person. I guess I’ve just been living a lie. LIES! I promise, I’ll try to be better.
And here are the five worst movies of the year.
1. The Alpha Incident
2. Bell from Hell
3. The Cold
4. The Demons of Ludlow
5. Grave of the Vampire
Three of these movies are by Bill Rebane. What does this tell you?
Anyway, thanks for reading everybody! It really does mean a lot that so many people have stuck by me as this project has grown, whether you’re a friend that I know in real life so you’re forced to read this, or you saw me on a blog-roll or found me on Google. Thanks, again!

Happy Anniversary. May the next year hold as much FEAR! as the one past.

P.S. The Human Centipede never fails to make me gag. Thanks for the nightmares :)

      Thanks. Ahhh, fear! Hehehe.
It’s as gross as I imagined. You’re welcome. May our master, R.L. Stine, keep you scared and never kill your pets.

Happy anniversary! I’ve never seen the Human Centipede and probaly never will but I like your reviews of it and a whole lot of movies I’ve never heard of!

Congrats! My 1 year anniversary is coming up in a few days, which might be a coincidence.

It takes a special level of intestinal fortitude to cover the career of one Bill Rebane. Have you checked out his bigfoot movie yet? If you enjoy people standing around talking about nothing in the snow, punctuated with brief snippets of a guy in an ill fitting yeti suit showing up and doing something violent and stupid looking, this is the movie for you. If you decide to take the plunge, just make sure your intestines are in order.

I like that you mistitled “Bell From Hell” as “Bed From Hell”. Does the movie “Death Bed” haunt your subconscious? I’ll let Patton lay it out for you if you’re not aware: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01l1WIC9mBo

Oooh, spooOOooOooky. I bet our coinciding anniversaries will open up the gates of Hell and a whole bunch of zombies will spill out, just like in an Italian zombie movie.
No, I still have to check it out. I have a special fondness for Bigfoot movies since I saw Boggy Creek 2: And the Legend Continues, so I definitely have to check it out.
Ahahaha, oops. I’ve heard of Death Bed but I haven’t seen it. Yet. I need to see it. The Demons of Ludlow taught me that movies about demonically-posessed furniture are hilarious.
